47PF0022Q0098 - Leased Fire/Safety RMS RFIs

Q1: In the Scope of Work it states:

The Contractor / Prime Vendor may not sub-c to a Fire Protection Engineer or fire protection firm, if the Contractor / Prime Vendor is not qualified per the description within this solicitation’s qualifications section, such as that their business must be primarily in the field of fire protection.

Question: Would you consider allowing the Fire Protection Engineer to be a subcontractor?

A1: If the Prime Vendor’s primary business is in the field of Fire Protection, then yes, a Fire Protection Engineer could be a subcontractor to the Prime Vendor.

Q2: This solicitation requires both FP RMS and S&H RMS to be completed but I only see qualification requirements for the FPE. Can you please identify the qualifications for the individual completing the S&H RMS?

A2: As outlined within the Contract, the FPE will also be performing the Safety & Health RMS survey in a Questions and Answers format. So, there are No technical requirements / qualifications needed for the FPE to ask the S&H RMS survey questions and document the Property Management / Owner’s answers as findings within the S&H RMS (To further clarify, the Fire Protection Assessment Report is only for Fire Protection as there is no overall assessment report for the Safety & Health RMS surveys).

The solicitation closing date remains 3:00 pm CST on April 19, 2022.
