GSA Public Building Service (PBS) in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois (excluding Cook and Winnebago Counties)
Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Architect/Engineer Services Synopsis/Solicitation 47PF0021R0086
ADDITIONAL RFI’S SUBMITTED:
1. Are studies acceptable as example projects?
Yes, as studies have typically been requested as part of the contract for project feasibility or pre-design.
2. Is a project that is design complete and in construction be used as a "substantially complete" example project?
Yes, I would consider that to be acceptable. It shows that their design was executed and that construction was awarded and is underway.
3. What is the certification/registration that is required for a Fire Protection Engineer?
A qualified fire protection engineer is defined as a professional engineer (P.E.) registered in Fire Protection Engineering, or a professional engineer (P.E.) registered in a related engineering discipline and holding Member grade status in the International Society of Fire Protection Engineers.
4. Must a firm have an office in both ILL and IND if applying for Zone 3?
Contract(s) will be split between two (2) zones: Zone 1 – Indiana and Illinois (excluding Cook and Winnebago Counties) , Zone 2 – Ohio, and Dual Zone (Zone 1&2). Dual zone firms need to have an active production office in one of the zones, Single zone firms need to have an active production office in that zone. You do not need to have an office in both Indiana and Illinois if applying for Zone 1.
5. Did you want SF330 Part II sheets for each of the subs we will use for the contract or only for the 6 listed in Part C?
A completed SF330 Part II sheet should be submitted for each consultant listed that will be part of the group effort, not just the 6 listed in Part C.
6. Part C typically separately lists all locations of a firm that will be performing work on the contract. Did you only want us to list one office for each firm? (Some of our firms have offices in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio so we would anticipate using personnel from each depending on the location of the project.)
It is acceptable to list the separate office locations being utilized as part of the contract.
7. Is licensing required in all states if pursuing dual zones or all 3 states?
Yes, you must have an active / valid license for the state that you are performing work in.
