RFI - #3
1. Who performs the “monthly or quarterly” testing?.
The first year the installing contractor will do this under the warranty period. After the warranty period it will be the Contractor that the agency gets for their service contract on the system.
Sec J “Extended service/maintenance agreements shall be offered by the Contractor for up to four years after the warranty expires. The agreement shall be renewable monthly, quarterly, or yearly.”
2. Is it the expectation that the service call will performed within a six hour time frame as stated, on a 24 hour/365 day basis? If so, will there be 24 hour a day access to the facility?
The Contractor shall correct any system defect within six (6) hours of receipt of call from the owner. The tenant is not in the space on a 24 hour basis, but if they have a problem that needs to be addressed I would expect that they would call during normal business hours and expect a call back with in that 6 hour period. The facility or building is accessible on a 24/7/ 365 basis.
