About this file
This document contains questions and answers related to solicitation number 47PB0123Q0007 from the General Services Administration Public Buildings Service Region 1 for elevator inspections in New England. The solicitation seeks pricing for annual and semi-annual inspections of elevators, escalators, and dumbwaiters at federal buildings across New England. Inspectors must provide their QEI certification number and status in responses. Pricing should be provided per unit on the attached pricing quote sheet rather than as extended totals. Five year inspections will be ordered separately based on unit pricing. Parking cannot be guaranteed at federal sites. Totals should be provided separately by year and location on the SF1449 forms under the appropriate line items. The six month contract extension would include only one additional inspection type per period.

# Question/Statement Response
Could you confirm the number of Elevators, dumbwaiters, Escalators, Etc. that will be serviced during this contract period?
This number can be calculated by the offeror via the Exhibit
1 attachment or RFQ Attachment 2.
Will the contract award winner be responsible for any state licensing fees? No.
will there be any site visits available to schedule as well? No.
For SF 1449 in the RFQ, line items 0004 and 0005 on pages 6-7, can you confirm only unit pricing should be put in both the "Unit Price" and the "Amount" columns?
RFQ Line items 0004 and 0005 will not have amounts inputted. The RFQ Attachment 2 Price Quote Sheet and
Contractors Proposal will be incorporated into these line items.
Any prices input into RFQ Attachment 2 - Pricing
Quote Sheet should be unit prices and not extended prices, correct? Yes, unit prices.
The instructions tab of RFQ Attachment 2 - Pricing
Quote Sheet states: "Pricing for five year testing is the cost in addition to the annual inspection, understanding that the five year test and annual inspection will be performed at the same time." For
SF 1449 in the RFQ, line item 0004, can you confirm that the unit pricing should be the cost of a 5 year inspection in addition to the cost of an annual inspection? See answer to question 4.
What certification proof (if any) would you like to see in our Technical Capabilities statement of the QEI certification status for our inspectors?
Please provide at a minimum the QEI certification number and status.
Solicitation 47PB0123Q0007 Amendment 0001 Questions and Answers 2023 10 20
Some of the buildings that require servicing within
GSA Region 1 have restricted parking. Can you confirm that parking permits will be granted PRIOR to scheduled arrive at each site, to facilitate easy access in and out of each building?
Parking cannot be guaranteed at any of our federal buildings.
RFP Attachment 2 requests the pricing per each, i.e.
per inspection. In addition to filling in Attachment 2 as part of the Response, is there anywhere in the response where we should TOTAL all semi-annual and annual inspections together to provide a “Total
Contract Value”. (Such as on the CLIN sheets?) If yes, is there any guidance on how to include (or not to include) in any such contract total both: the 5 year inspections and the 6 month contract extension option? (For example would we assume, exactly half of the semi-annual and annual inspections will be performed during the 6 month extension?).
The totals for each respective year and geographical region
(e.g., North, South, Boston) should be totalled in the SF1449 under the respective line item. The five year inspection line items are informational and will be ordered via the pricing quote sheet. The expectation for the 6 month extension is that only one of the inspections (semi-annual or annual) would occur.
