About this file

This document is a comprehensive specification for the North Area Recovery Station (NARS) Scale Installation Project issued by the Sacramento County Department of Waste Management and Recycling. The project involves constructing five concrete truck scale foundations and installing owner-furnished truck scales, along with associated infrastructure improvements. Key components include asphalt paving, storm drain installation, automated kiosk installation, and electrical and data trenching to connect the scales and kiosks. The project will be located at 4450 Roseville Road and requires the contractor to complete the work within 135 calendar days from the project start date.

The project has a total bid package that includes multiple line items with specific technical requirements, including concrete foundations, aggregate base, asphalt concrete, electrical work, communications infrastructure, and various site improvements. The estimated project cost is not explicitly stated, but the detailed specifications suggest a complex infrastructure upgrade with multiple technical and construction components. Bidders are required to submit proposals electronically through the county's eProcurement system, with precise technical specifications for each aspect of the installation. The project emphasizes compliance with local and state regulations, including specific electrical, communications, and construction standards, and requires detailed documentation and testing of all installed systems.
