About this file
This is a Packaging Requirements document (AFMC Form 158) issued by the U.S. Air Force for purchase instrument FD20302600259-00, Version 1, effective January 29, 2026.
The document specifies military packaging and marking standards for item 3110006185880K, requiring compliance with MIL-STD-2073-1 (Standard Practice for Military Packaging) and MIL-STD-129 (Standard Practice for Military Marking). All wood packaging material (WPM)—including pallets, skids, boxes, crates, and dunnage—must be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Celsius (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes to address invasive species risks such as the pinewood nematode. Certification and marking must be provided by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC), with reference to International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM No. 15). The packaging specification uses preservation level MIL with packaging level B, and the unit pack dimensions are 6.3 inches length, 5.3 inches width, 3.0 inches depth, with a cube of 0.057 and weight of 1.30. Shipping containers must be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129 and may require additional markings such as unit serial numbers, OEM names, or OEM model numbers as specified on the AFMC Form 158. The packaging specialist is Richard R. Davis (406 SCMS/GULAA), contactable at 405-371-9037 or 582-5972.
