OVERVIEW:

All Exhibits will be printed double‐sided. Customer estimates roughly Color 15% & B&W 85%.

Due to the fact the exhibits will be printed double-sided, exhibits containing an odd number of pages will result in the last page being blank. When printed, every exhibit must have an even number of pages. This will require that the contractor to insert a completely blank page as the final page for every exhibit with an odd number of pages, including single page exhibits.

10 binder sets of trial exhibits, a folder set of trial exhibits (with 4 copies of each trial exhibit), and 56 sets of witness binders (with 7 copies of each set) shall be required which are outlined below. Each folder or binder will average between approx. 50 and 1,000 pages.

Plaintiffs’ Trial Exhibits

• 1,860 documents, totaling approximately 41,000 pages

• 6 binder sets required (3 copies for Clerk; 1 copy for opposing counsel; 1 copy for USDOJ; 1 copy for courthouse), totaling 246,000 pages.

• Folder set required (4 copies of each individual exhibit), totaling 164,000 pages.

Defendant’s Trial Exhibits

• 2,550 documents, totaling approximately 60,000 pages

• 2 binder sets required (1 copy for USDOJ; 1 copy for courthouse), totaling 120,000 pages.

Redacted Trial Exhibits (for both parties)

• 2,205 documents, totaling approximately 30,000 pages

• 2 binder sets required (1 copy for USDOJ; 1 copy for courthouse), totaling 101,000 pages.

Page 4 of 8 Jacket 429-141

Witness Binders

• For 32 affirmative witnesses and possible 24 significant cross-examinations—56 witnesses in total.

• For each witness, a set of 7 binders

• For each witness, estimate 20 exhibits and about 800 pages, totaling 313,600 pages.

For binder sets of exhibits, 4-inch white “view” binders shall be used with tab dividers labeled with the exhibit number (e.g., “PTX-0001”) separating each exhibit. Exhibits shall be in exhibit number order. Each binder shall include a cover indicating the range of exhibits within and the same information on the spine of the binder. Staff will provide a template for the cover and spine. An exhibit shall not be split between binders. Defense Exhibit tabs shall reflect the same number and format found on the document. Binders must hold 8-1/2 x 11” printed pages.

For witness binders, each of the 56 binders will have a distinct number of pages, a different set of documents to be printed, and a different number of tabs to be inserted. The vendor shall be prepared to use a variety of binder sizes to accommodate for the varying page requirements of each binder. When selecting a binder size, the vendor shall add an extra ½ inch to accommodate for the trial team adding extra exhibits, if necessary, after the print job has been completed. (The vendor will not be responsible for printing these additional exhibits). For example, Binder 04 contains 408 pages and could fit in a 1-inch slant D-ring binder comfortably; however, the trial team could decide to include additional exhibits or attorney notes, ranging from 50-100 pages after the print job has been completed.

In this situation, therefore, the vendor shall use a 1.5-inch D ring binder. Each binder shall have a “view” pocket on the cover and spine. A PDF will be sent with cover sheets for the slips of paper that shall be placed in each front and spine view pocket.

The folder set of exhibits (four copies of each individual exhibits) shall each be provided in manila folders with a corresponding label indicating the exhibit control number (“PTX-0000” number per the filename of the PDF for that exhibit) contained within. These folders shall be organized sequentially, in numerical order according to exhibit control numbers, and grouped in 10 x 15” – 5-1/4” expandable Redwelds. Each Redweld will need a label/cover on the front indicating the series of exhibit control numbers contained in the Redweld (e.g.: “PTX-0001 thru PTX-

0050”). Folder sets shall be kept together in manila file folders and not broken up between Redwelds. If a folder set is too large to be contained in a single manila folder, it may be organized in multiple folders or even in its own

Redweld, with the labels of these folders denoting the split (ex: “PTX-0000 1/4”, “PTX-0000 2/4”).

Award will be based on:

• Item 1: 141,690 pages printing in four-color process (2 pages = 1 sheet of paper)

• Item 2: 802,910 pages printing in black ink only (2 pages = 1 sheet of paper)

• Item 3: Approx. 70 (10 x 15”, 5-1/4”) Expandable Redwelds (labeled)

• Item 4: Approx. 500 4” white view binders

• Item 5: Approx. 500 Cover Sheets (inserted into view binders)

• Item 6: Approx. 500 Spines (inserted into view binders)

• Item 7: Approx. 7440 Labeled Manila Folders

• Item 8: Approx. 28,510 tabs (1/5th cut, no reinforcement required)

Contractor shall furnish a line item rate for each item and an additional rate. This will be used to increase or decrease the final billing amount based on the final number of originals. This price will include the cost of ALL

REQUIRED OPERATIONS (including miscellaneous and delivery charges) necessary to produce the product ordered.

Contractor must submit a signed notification to the Printing Specialist of FINAL COUNT for verification.

Contractor will be paid for actual number of documents processed.
