About this file

This is Addendum 1 to an Invitation for Bids issued by the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) for a timber sale at the Clark Bay Conservation Area in Volusia County, Florida. The project involves a logger-select thinning operation across approximately 173.3 acres of mature longleaf pine stands within Section 24, Township 16 South, Range 30 East. The timber removal will implement selective harvesting with every third row removed for access, followed by thinning of remaining rows to achieve a target density of 150 trees per acre or basal area of 50 to 60 square feet per acre. Harvesting priority will focus on diseased, defective, and suppressed trees first, then intermediate and co-dominant trees as needed, with dominant trees excluded from removal. The District estimates approximately 3,518 tons of pine pulpwood and 208 tons of chip-n-saw timber; however, no guarantee of volume is provided.

The addendum serves as a critical notice to bidders regarding submission procedures and fraud prevention. The SJRWMD emphasizes that bids must be submitted exclusively through District-approved procurement portals and cautions bidders against responding to unauthorized third-party solicitations, fraudulent websites, or alternative submission methods. Bidders are instructed to acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their submittal and directed to contact Procurement Specialist Breanna Pierce at (386) 643-1168 or BPierce@sjrwmd.com for any questions or to verify solicitation authenticity.
