About this file
This is an Air Force First Article Requirements form (AFMC IMT 260) dated 17 June 2025 for a critical turbine engine component. The procurement involves PR/MIPR number 81873/20105030 with CAGE reference 20105030 and NSN 2915012240747NZ. Three first article units are required, with two units serving as part of production quantity and one unit in addition to production quantity.
The first articles will not serve as manufacturing standards and long lead time items are required. Manufacturing must occur at the contractor's facilities where production items will be produced, with certification required. Contractor testing is specified with performance characteristics identified in drawings and specifications referenced in LPF-QAR-003. A test plan is required with 30-calendar day delivery from contract date and 45 days for government approval/disapproval. The test report is due 120 calendar days from contract date and must be forwarded to AFLCMC/LZPED at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, with 60 days allowed for government written notice of approval/disapproval. Government testing/inspection evaluation is estimated at $2,500. One first article will be destructively tested and condemned at the vendor's facility. First article testing is waived if the offeror is prime contractor Pratt & Whitney. The cognizant engineering organization responsible for approving is JAY, PEYTON A, AFLCMC/LP S B E, phone 405-736-3076 or 336-3076. This is identified as a critical part for F100 series turbine engines where first article testing ensures compliance with drawing and specification requirements.
