About this file
This document is Addendum 1 issued by the St. Johns River Water Management District for Invitation for Bid 41080, related to the Thomas Creek Conservation Area Timber Sale in Duval County, Florida. The addendum, dated March 19, 2025, maintains the original bid submission deadline of 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, and addresses two specific questions from potential bidders. The first question regarding certification systems is clarified with the statement that the sale area has no certifications. The second question concerns a bridge with an "8 Ton Limit" sign, which the district confirms is incorrect, as the bridge has been recently inspected and can support loaded log trucks.
The timber sale involves approximately 118 acres of a slash pine plantation established in 1993, with an estimated timber volume of 2,800 tons of pine pulpwood, 2,880 tons of chip-n-saw, 4,790 tons of sawtimber, and 566 tons of hardwood. The sale area is located in Section 27, Township 1 North, Range 25 East, with boundaries including a railroad track, bayhead swamps, and a posted property boundary. Interested firms are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their bid submittal, with any questions directed to Breanna Pierce, Procurement Specialist, at (386) 643-1168 or bpierce@sjrwmd.com.
