PR 40197397 – GWMP Stone Guard Wall Repair
Questions and Answers
1. Can you confirm that the closing is on Labor Day, a federal holiday?
a. Closing extended to 4pm EST on 9/9/2015. Per box 10 of the 1442 electronic proposals are acceptable. Vendors have the option, but not the requirement, to hand deliver proposals in accordance with Section L.
2. Box 11 of the solicitation shows completion within 200 days of award. Is winter work anticipated during this project?
a. Per box 11 the 200 days starts from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The 200 days is a maximum time for completion of the project and is meant to account for any weather delays due to the fact that the mortar can only be used under certain temperature conditions.
3. Would early spring start be an option (an extension of the 200 days, or is heat and cover anticipated)?
a. Heat and cover is not anticipated. If the work cannot be completed within the period of performance (and is not the result of an excusable delay) an extension will have to be negotiated.
