About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to a competitive solicitation issued by Delgado Community College's Office of Purchasing for the removal and installation of exterior doors and hardware at the Westbank Campus Student Life Building in New Orleans, Louisiana. The original bid (40006-R0031479) solicits bids for three sets of exterior storefront double doors (six doors total, approximately 36 inches by 84 inches each) with YKK35D frames, surface-applied continuous hinges, concealed closers with offset arms, and bronze tempered glass, with one door per set featuring an inactive vertical concealed panic device and one door per set featuring an electrified vertical concealed panic device. The bid opening is scheduled for September 10, 2026. A non-mandatory jobsite visit was held on August 19, 2026, and written questions were due August 27, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. CST. The addendum, issued August 27, 2026, extends the original 60-day project completion timeline to 70 days to accommodate manufacturer lead times and site work coordination.

The addendum clarifies critical technical specifications regarding electrified door hardware installation, confirming that power is to be run through the frame via hinge pockets into the door and that contractors must provide and install the Electric Power Transfer (EPT) transfer box with connections from door hardware to the transfer box; Delgado Community College's electrician will complete the final connection to the contractor-installed transfer box. No existing electrical infrastructure in the door frames will be reused. All work is priced as an all-inclusive lump-sum with no provision for additional costs. Bidders must be registered with the Louisiana Secretary of State, possess a minimum of five years of successful experience with similar door installations, hold all required business and local licenses for New Orleans and surrounding parishes, and provide proof of Workers Compensation insurance with minimum Employers Liability of $500,000 per accident, Commercial General Liability with minimum $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, and Automobile Liability with minimum $1 million combined single limit. Payment terms are Net 30 upon itemized invoices submitted within two weeks of job completion. Acknowledgment of this addendum is mandatory and must be received prior to the bid opening date.
