About this file
This is a Request for Bid (RFB) specifications document issued by the City of Yuma, Arizona (Ref #: RFB-26-251) for the procurement of lubricants, motor oils, and greases. The City seeks qualified vendors to supply eight categories of products: crankcase oils, gear lubricants, industrial oils, lubrication greases, metal working oils, synthetic automatic transmission fluid, multipurpose transmission fluid, and 2-cycle oil. Products will be delivered in bulk via dedicated oil tanker trucks, 55-gallon drums, and 1-gallon containers as needed to support maintenance and repair operations for the City's mixed fleet and industrial equipment. All bulk oil deliveries must be completed within four business days of order receipt and delivered to the Fleet Management location. The specifications indicate that products will be utilized by Fleet Services, Water Treatment Plant, Parks Maintenance, Water Pollution Control Facility, and Desert Hills Golf Course.
The specifications establish minimum standards for product quality and performance while remaining non-restrictive regarding manufacturer selection, allowing equivalent products to meet stated requirements. Products must comply with specific industry standards and compatibility requirements, including MERCON LV, DEXRON VI, Allison C-4, Ford ESP specifications, and GM Dexron III H standards where applicable. Certain greases must include food-grade and extreme pressure options with various thickener types including aluminum complex soap, calcium complex soap, and lithium soap formulations. The document does not specify pricing terms, contract duration, award dates, or renewal options in the specifications section provided.
