About this file
This document is a bid specification for a fence replacement project at Milwaukee County Mitchell International Airport in Wisconsin. The project involves furnishing and installing approximately 550 linear feet of SIDA (Secure Identified Designated Area) fence, which will be 10 feet high with an additional 3-wire barbed wire mounted on a 2-foot barbed wire arm. The specification includes 2 feet of below-grade chain link and backfill, with an exception for areas crossing asphalt or concrete that require a bottom tension bar. Line posts will be driven 60 inches deep, and terminal posts will be set in 12" x 60" concrete footings. The project also includes the removal and disposal of approximately 675 feet of existing SIDA fence, including two swing gates.
The bid specifications do not provide detailed pricing information, funding sources, or specific bidding dates. The technical requirements emphasize precise installation methods, including tension wire and bracing where needed, and specific installation techniques for different surface types. The project appears to be focused on security infrastructure improvement at the airport, with careful attention to fence construction details that meet security standards for a sensitive airport zone.
