The following Test Equipment is required to Test the Fiber Optic Cables for the CEC and AN/SLQ-32(V)6 Systems in addition to troubleshoot Fiber Optic cables for all GFE Systems for the LPD Program. The tests include Link-Loss, Attenuation, and Return Loss for the following systems: CEC, SLQ-32(V)6, SSDS, GPNTS, WSN-7, HME Network, NAV Network, NDDS, SPS-48, and any other GFE System with Fiber Optic). These Systems have both Multi-Mode and Single-Mode fibers and are required to be tested at different wavelengths as per MIL-STD-2042C. 1300 nm for Multi-Mode. 1310 nm and 1550 nm for Single-Mode. Tests are: 42711-2-013 Rev: Original AN/SLQ-32(V)6 Cable Verification and 48402-2-009 Rev: - CETPS (AN/USG-2B) Fiber Optic Transmission Line. All of the connections and MOJ’s must work seamlessly together.

1. Optical Test Kit: Light Source and Power Meter: Light Source: Multi-mode LED, Single-Mode Laser, Power Meter works with Both MM and SM. This is required for the tests listed above.

2. Single Strand (ST) to ST Measurement Quality Jumpers (MQJ Set Special: Measurement Quality Jumpers (MQJ) must be used to test Optical Link Loss. By interfacing the correct jumpers with a Light Source and Power Meter accurate loss measurements can be obtained. Contains ST-to-ST MM, ST-to-ST SM, ST-to-ST Adapter, SC-to ST SM/MM Adapter. Used with Optical Test Kit above (Item 1).

3. ST to Termini MQJ Set: Measurement Quality Jumpers (MQJ) must be used to test Optical Link Loss. By interfacing the correct jumpers with a Light Source and Power Meter accurate loss measurements can be obtained. Contains Singlemode Enhanced and Multimode Single Strand MQJs, Snap Lock Plugs, Snap Lock Receptacles, Insertion/Extraction/ASIRT Tools, Termini Alignment Sleeves. Used with Optical Test Kit above (Item 1).

4. Cleaning Kit/ UTIL HOOK UP: This Kit contains the tools necessary to clean the connectors prior to testing.

5. SHIPBOARD ST/28876 KIT: This Kit is required for troubleshooting and repair.
