About this file
This document is an Amendment to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) in Houston, Texas for the Purchase and Delivery of Engines for METRO's Transit Buses. Amendment No. 002 extends the bid due date to August 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM, and the bid opening date to August 21, 2025. The amendment updates items and prices, and provides instructions for bidders to acknowledge the changes through various methods, including signing the amendment, returning a copy with the bid, or sending a separate letter or fax referencing the IFB and amendment number.
The amendment emphasizes that failure to acknowledge the changes prior to the specified hour and date may result in bid rejection. Bidders are allowed to modify their previously submitted bids by fax or letter, provided the communication references the IFB and amendment and is received before the opening date and time. The document is signed by Vanessa Clemente-West, a Contract Administrator II at METRO, and provides a template for bidders to acknowledge receipt of the amendment by completing their company details, authorized representative's name, signature, title, and signature date.
