About this file

This is a First Article Requirements form for a critical metal tube assembly used in the F100-229 series turbine engine. The document specifies requirements for first article testing of 3 parts (2 as part of production quantity, 1 in addition to production quantity) for NSN 4710013166545NZ, part number 4070030. The first articles will be manufactured at the contractor's production facilities and undergo comprehensive testing per LPF-QAR-003, including detailed inspections and destructive testing of one article.

Key testing and approval conditions include: contractor testing is required, a test plan and test report must be submitted, and the estimated government testing cost is $2,500. One first article part will be destructively tested and condemned. First article testing may be waived if the offeror is Pratt & Whitney or has previously produced similar articles for the Department of Defense within the last 36 months. The cognizant engineering organization responsible for approving and conducting tests is AFLCMC/LP S B E, with Nicholas A. Peterman as the point of contact.
