About this file
This is a Scope of Work document for the removal and demolition of a derelict 30-foot sailboat located at USCG Station San Diego. The work consists of three primary tasks: towing the vessel from the USCG yard to Marine Group Boat Works (MGBW) facility, hauling the vessel, and performing complete demolition and disposal in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations. The customer warrants legal authority to authorize the demolition and disposal of the vessel and assumes responsibility for defending, indemnifying, and holding harmless Marine Group Boat Works, its officers, and employees against any third-party claims related to ownership, possessory interest, lien holder interest, or other claims of interest in the vessel. This indemnification obligation survives completion of work and vessel disposal.
This scope of work is associated with federal Solicitation Number 37250PR260000124, issued by the U.S. Coast Guard under the Department of Homeland Security. The solicitation is structured as a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) service contract. Technical and legal points of contact are Mr. Michael Paxton and Mr. Gerald Carr, with Mr. Ryan H. King serving as the Contracting Officer. Contractors should reference this scope of work for detailed terms and conditions governing the towing, removal, and destruction services required.
