Questions and Answers – Corrugated Pallets
1. What Net Payment Term timelines does your organization operate on?
Answer: Net 30
2. Do you have technical drawings for these pallets?
Answer: There are no technical drawings for the pallets
3. Does the Department of Veteran Affairs require the proposed product be assembled in the
United States?
Answer: It is preferred due to ease and schedule of deliveries.
4. Shall the proposed product be made entirely from new corrugated paper and constructed with FDA approved adhesive?
Answer: It does not have to be new corrugated paper, but definitely with FDA approved adhesive, where applicable.
5. Does the product have to be previously tested for sustainability at the facility in Hines, IL? With the lack of regulatory standardization on corrugated pallets, customization and suitability to specific applications is crucial.
Answer: If manufacturer could provide samples, we are willing to test them. It is not required though.
6. Is the SDVOSB required to demonstrate the ability to provide onsite resolution of issues within the same business day?
Answer: No; onsite resolution by the SDVOSB, most times, is not needed in this acquisition.
7. Must the product be locally sourced (within 30 miles of Hines, IL)? Is the SDVOSB required to have the capability for same day delivery intended for emergent needs or product rejection due to shipment damage?
Answer: Pallets do not have to be sourced locally. In emergent situations, a week would be more feasible on all parties to have a new shipment delivered due to shipment damages. We keep a stock of wooden pallets for long term warehouse storage.
