Keynote 5 on sheet CS103 calls for new K4 fixed bollards and references detail 1 on CS501. However, note 1 for this detail indicates the anti-ram resistance to be 4,000 lbs. This does not meet K4 criteria. Please advise if the bollards should follow spec section 37 71 13 or detail 1 on CS0501.

In the Controls Drawings, it calls out to install new BACnet software in conjunction with the existing Metasys 7.0 system. Why do you want new software separate from the existing JCI Metasys BACnet system. Shouldn’t the new controls tie into the existing system architecture? New software is a very costly request and unnecessary when the VA already has a full controls system and server.
To “install new BACnet software” in conjunction with the existing Metasys 7.0 system. We need new software from the exiting because we want it to be compatible with the existing campus control system (Metasys). BACnet is a software protocol that allows one controls manufacturer to be able to communicate with another. For example, if Honeywell (a controls manufacturer) happened to be the low bidder for the controls work on the PICU Project, the contract provision that requires them to install BACnet software as part of their work means that the Facilities team would be able to see and control the equipment that has the Honeywell controls on it (in the PICU) from the Metasys workstation. Essentially, BACnet is a translator language (protocol) between control manufacturers. That said we need new software.
