PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The VA Saint Louis Health Care System – John Cochran Division requires a construction contractor to perform upgrades in support of the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. The construction area is located on the first floor of Building 2 and includes both training and administrative spaces.

This project includes the execution of Phases 2, 3, and 4 of the associated design plans. Phase 2 addresses the North Training Rooms (Rooms 139, 140, 141, 142), totaling approximately 2,000 square feet. Work includes upgraded power and data infrastructure and new flooring and wall finishes. Phase 3 addresses the South Training Rooms (Rooms 126, 127, 128), totaling approximately 1,800 square feet. Work includes upgraded power and data infrastructure and new flooring and wall finishes. Additionally, Phase 3 includes the renovation of a 130-square-foot breakroom, with new floor and wall finishes, casework, a new sink, and a cold-water tie-in for an ice machine. Phase 4 addresses multiple areas: renovation of an approximately 1,400-square-foot corridor with new floor and wall finishes; upgrades to two offices (approximately 150 square feet each) with upgraded power and data infrastructure and new flooring and wall finishes; and upgrades to an existing data closet, including new floor and wall finishes, installation of an additional server rack with associated equipment, and replacement of the existing mini-split HVAC unit. Note: Phase 1 is excluded from this scope, as it was completed under a separate contract. Note: All power and data drops originally indicated as floor-mounted shall now be wall-mounted, as shown on revised drawings EP101 and TN101. Installation must match these updated sheet details; no floor-mounted outlets are permitted.
