This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Project at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System University Drive campus. The project involves construction work to upgrade infrastructure across multiple existing buildings (Buildings 1, 5, 8, 29, 30, 33) to support the new EHRM system, encompassing approximately 3,030 square feet of existing space and 11,600 square feet of new tower additions. The work includes general construction, structural modifications, mechanical and HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, information technology infrastructure, and civil work, with all design based on AWEN Solutions' drawings and specifications dated June 13, 2025, and compliance with VA Infrastructure Standard for Telecommunications Spaces (ISTS) V4.0 and the VA Physical Security Design and Resiliency Manual (PDRSM).
The project will be solicited as a Request for Proposals (RFP) with a completion timeline of 730 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. All work must include equipment installation, Testing & Balancing, and Commissioning as detailed in the drawings and specifications. Due to occupied staff and patient areas during construction, phased work is required. The scope is managed by Scott Branscome, PE, Healthcare Engineer, Facilities Maintenance Services at VAPHS, with Mike Dwyer serving as Project Section Chief, and both are available for inquiries at the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania location (4100 Allequippa Street).
