36C77624Q0099 Ft. Harrison Acute Inpatient Care and Hospital Renovations Activation Pre-Planning Support
Additional Solicitation Question & Answer
1. Clearly, this is a pre-planning meaning there is no design. However, if there are Construction Documents as listed in the PWS then there is a design, see below pulled from page 9 of the PWS. There would have been user group meetings already to develop the Construction Documents. Which one is correct, because it says we cannot do anything that would affect the Construction Documents? Also, if there are CDs you should provide with the PWS or a statement that the CDs will be provided in Revit or AutoCAD format.
Answer: Refer to updated Attachment A (PWS). Below is a summary of the PWS updates:
PWS Section 14.2 Activation Pre-Planning Support, Paragraph 1
Contractor is to work closely with the VA designer or personnel identified by the COR on all furnishings and space planning. The contractor is required to identify FF&E and visual arts.
Contractor shall ensure all selections are in accordance with the Construction Documents (CDs) to avoid conflict resulting in either design or construction modifications.
PWS Section 14.2 Activation Pre-Planning Support, Paragraph 3
FF&E must be consistent with any interior packages developed by the Architect/Engineer firm associated with the construction project and/or the health care facility’s standards as provided by the Government. Design support services include updating spaces on the template to be consistent with A/E developed spaces to be included in the Project RFP. Contractor is to work closely with the VA Interior Designer on all initial furnishings and space planning.
