About this file

This special notice announces the Department of Veterans Affairs' intent to enter into a sole source contract with the National Fire Protection Association for online training subscriptions. The VA requires its employees to complete NFPA training on codes and standards for areas such as medical gas systems, electrical power systems, life safety, emergency power, and hazardous materials storage according to VA directives. NFPA courses are the only courses that specifically cover the details mandated in these directives. The anticipated contract award date is August 11, 2023. Interested parties may submit a response by August 4, 2023 demonstrating their ability to meet the requirements, though the VA intends to award solely to NFPA due to their responsibility as the unique source that can satisfy the agency's needs to comply with federal regulations.
