Statement of Work Intravascular Imaging and Physiology Guidance System Minneapolis VAMC

1. Introduction The Minneapolis VA Healthcare System (MVAHCS) has a need to procure equipment for Cardiology. The recent upgrade of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) recommendations to a Class 1A level highlights the importance of using advanced intravascular imaging technologies in Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI). Both HD IVUS and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) are recommended for their distinct capabilities, with a preference for HD IVUS when only one technology is available. Minneapolis currently already has OCT in house, therefore MVAHCS needs to add HD IVUS to the facility to provide the best level of care to our veterans. This requirement is Brand Name or Equal to the Avvigo+ IVUS.

2. Salient Characteristics/Required Compatibilities:

a. Automated lumen Assessment (ALA) feature- which marks vessel and lumen borders throughout the entire run, marks tightest spot on the lesion and recommends proximal and distal landing zones based off percent stenosis with only 1 run.

b. Multimodality HD IVUS system (High-definition intravascular ultrasound) that must include both FFR and DFR capabilities on the same system AND be integrated with the ALA features listed above.

c. HD IVUS system must operate at 60mHz or higher transducer. Higher image quality allows appropriately assess lesion/plaque morphology, identify dissections, edge dissections, geographical miss, and morphology depth.

d. Automatic pullback. This is required as it allows for accurate length measurements at an automatic speed.

e. Angiogram co-registration, side branch vessel detection, and stent assessment. Stent assessment will automatically mark stent borders and assess post optimization recommendations.

f. IVUS catheter has a 3.1F crossing profile
