Q&A

VENDOR QUESTION VA RESPONSE

Does the required back-up analyzer need to be a mirror image/identical instrument to the primary instrument?

No, they do not need to be mirror images.

The VA Twin Ports is not listed on the RFP but was on the previous RFP for VISN 23. Will they require an analyzer? If yes, could you please include test volumes?

No, they will not require an analyzer.

There are significantly lower test volumes on the current solicitation versus the volumes on the

2015 RFP.

Thank you for asking this question. We discovered some quantity errors were made and needed line items were also missed. Please see the new schedule attached. This schedule replaces the schedule in section B.2.

Can you please tell me if the $1.3M ceiling is for the entire 5 year period (Base + 4 option years) or if it is a ceiling for each year?

Lifetime of this contract. Per a previous question regarding test volumes mistakes were found in annual quantity estimates. Due to those corrections the ceiling is raised to $4 million over the lifetime of this contract.

Are the test volumes provided in the current solicitation based on the most recent year’s usage which has been impacted by Covid?

The new test volumes do not consider the most recent years usage due to the impact of COVID.
