How many patients are estimated per day (for both inpatient, and outpatient)?

Outpatient: There are 6 hours a day of ‘bookable’ time, with Veterans new to the Provider having a 60-minute slot and returning Veterans having a 30 minute slot, so the estimate would be between 6 and 12 Veterans per day.

Inpatient: For inpatient, we have a 10 bed unit but the psychiatric nurse practitioner takes one team and the other team is covered by the combination of other providers that work up there- so if an offeror would be contributing to the in-patient unit, the most they would have would be 10 inpatients plus 1 or 2 consults but mostly it would be 5 inpatients and 1 consult or no consults, based on the usual work flow.

What is the support staff?

Outpatient: The Psychiatrists will be a member of BHIP team (i.e, an outpatient IDT), so they will work closely with an assigned RN and on the team there are therapists, Psychologists and Social Workers.

Inpatient: Support staff on inpatient include the MSA (unit clerk), social work, a medical nurse practitioner, a clinical pharmacy specialist, and nurse. As well, we typically have 1-2 students on the unit for about 2/3 of the year, we have a resident on the inpatient unit.

How many psychiatrists are scheduled/ working at a time (for inpatient and outpatient)?

Outpatient: We have 2 Psychiatrists on-site, 2 Psychiatrists working through telehealth, as of April, 2 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, also have 1.6 Clinical Pharmacist Specialists on-site and 1 Clinical Pharmacist Specialists via telehealth.

Inpatient: There is typically 2 LIPs- the psychiatrist and the psychiatric nurse practitioner (since they are independently licensed, the psychiatrist doesn’t typically deal with her cases unless she seeks input as any colleague might).

Can you confirm the maximum hourly rate a vendor may quote?

“The maximum contract amount stated in the solicitation is based upon the initial government and estimated usage of this indefinite delivery indefinite quantity task order. You may propose any hourly rate you wish. The Government may adjust the maximum contract amount at the time of award to reflect the awarded contract rates, if necessary to ensure the viability of the contract over the life of the contract.”

Additional Note:

CLIN 3002 lists 2160 hours, not 2080 hours. All other base or option years list 2,080 hours for the inpatient slot. The 2160 was a typo should state 2080 hours.
