About this file
This file is a vendor Q&A response document from the VA addressing questions submitted by potential contractors regarding a DirecTV subscription service solicitation (36C26226Q1021) for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.
The solicitation seeks a contractor to provide monthly DirecTV programming subscriptions across seven VA facilities, with a total of approximately 586 televisions distributed as follows: Los Angeles Downtown VA Clinic (12), San Gabriel Valley VA Clinic (1), Sepulveda VA Medical Center Building 22 (2), Sepulveda VA Medical Center Building 200 (12), Sepulveda VA Medical Center Building 99 (68), VA West Los Angeles Campus (485), and Santa Maria VA Clinic (6). The service covers waiting areas, patient rooms, and staff/breakroom areas, with each location maintaining a separate DirecTV account. The VA confirmed that existing DIRECTV equipment is government-owned and must continue to be used by the awardee, with the current system utilizing COM 3000 headend units that are undergoing upgrades. The VA also confirmed that the main facility currently receives Getwell, local, CARE, and Chaplain channels. The applicable NAICS code is 517121 with a small business size standard of 1,500 employees. The solicitation is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and represents a continuation of existing service, though the VA did not disclose incumbent contractor information or current account numbers.
