Q&A:
1. If the shift is from 11PM to 7AM. Are we to assume that each night we are to set up, patch/paint, and tear down leaving the area usable by the end of the shift for the next day? Or will sections of the department be closed off for several days and nights allowing us to work in one area, and then move to the next?
Yes, the space will be turned over each shift. The areas will be cleaned and ready for use 100% to the end user. The contractor will need to be flexible and accommodate the ED due to patient volume and should be ready to pivot to corridor work each shift if necessary. There is no possibility to close areas off for more than a shift each day. The working days are 7 days a week if necessary to complete the work timely within the working hours provided at no additional costs to the VA.
2. Will there be a site visit associated with this solicitation?
Yes, the site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24th, 2026, at 11:00 pm.
3. Can you provide a finish schedule that identifies each wall and each color?
No, this requirement encompasses the entire ED and colors will be like for like except all hard lid ceilings will be ceiling bright white when completed under this contract.
4. Can you please provide VA Policy for Infection control requirements and checklist for all levels.
The ICRA for the ED will be a blanket ICRA and will be highest risk level IV. All the standards to meet are in the ICRA provided just need to look at the requirements for highest risk Level IV. (see attached)
