About this file

This Sources Sought Notice is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System for cryogenic labels and supplies. The procurement seeks potential qualified sources for specialized labeling equipment and materials, including Bartender Pro Label Software, various cryogenic labels (0.75" x 1.6875", 1.0" x 2.625", 1.0" x 8.5"), thermal transfer ribbons, and Zebra label printers. The labels are specifically required for Air Force Health Study sample tubes, with critical performance requirements of adhering to wet surfaces at -80°C, maintaining integrity when removed from freezers, and withstanding extreme temperature changes without becoming brittle.

The solicitation targets businesses across various size classifications, including small businesses, HubZone, 8(a), veteran-owned, and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses. The NAICS code is 561910 with a size standard of $19.5M. If VA's market research identifies two or more veteran-owned or service-disabled veteran-owned businesses certified in the Vendor Information Pages, the solicitation will be set aside for those businesses. Responses are due by July 11, 2025, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time, with an intended contract period of one year from award. The participating healthcare facility is VISN 22 West VA Long Beach Healthcare System.
