Effective Immediately, the below are the salient characteristics for this source sought notice.
The VA Loma Linda surgical booms and lights must include the following characteristics:
Product Category - Booms
| 1) | Must have a minimum of 31” of vertical travel for equipment booms and 46” of travel for display arms, on all height adjustable arms. |
| 2) | Must have the capability to provide a maximum arm length of 115” for equipment boom arms. |
| 2) | Heavy duty equipment arms must have the ability to utilize Active Assist positioning and braking which will function automatically to engage and disengage braking system without any direct input (button or handle) needed to activate or disengage the braking system. |
| 3) | Equipment carriers must be center aligned carrier design for balanced load carrying with the boom rotating within its own footprint. Must have optional modular front shelf supports to protect equipment (can be added or removed on-site), no cantilevered shelving booms which has the vertical tube from the boom arm going directly into the service head/carrier of the boom. |
| 4) | Heavy duty equipment arms must include integrated automatic Soft Stop braking which will avoid sudden stops and strain on the user and equipment, no external activation buttons. |
Product Category - Surgical Lights
| 1) | Surgical light must have variable focus adjustment, controllable from the sterile center focus handle that manually changes the focal point distance from the surgical light to the surgical field without manually changing the surgical light position. |
| 2) | Surgical light must have simultaneous control of variable focus on the vertical plane and spot size adjustment on the horizontal plane |
| 3) | Surgical Light must have LCD wall control and will have 10 savable preset options per system |
| 4) | Surgical light must have intensity control via capacitive touch from the sterile center focus handle |
| 5) | Surgical light must have 60 distinct variations of light output (combination of spot size, color temperature, and intensity) |
