Q: What are the addresses of the Places of Performances? How many FTE’s do you anticipate will be required for each POP location?
A: One FTE to cover all POP locations. The secondary POP locations will only need to be visited when there is a compliance need – this is rare.

Q: What are the work hours?
A: A work day is 8 hours. 8 am to 4:30 pm (30-minute lunch).
Q: The agency usually provides the equipment such as air sampling, noise dosimeters, radiation survey equipment, asbestos sampling equipment etc. Will this be the case for the places of performances?
A: The primary POP location is stocked with the necessary equipment. If there is a need to visit a secondary location then the equipment will be checked out from the primary POP location.
Q: Please confirm that the agency will be providing a federal government vehicle to travel between POP locations.
A: A Government Owned Vehicle will be provided when travel to a secondary POP location is required.
Q: How many hours per month will you need the CIH, IH, and 3E Database Manager? Is this full time or part time?
A: The one FTE will work 40 hours per week; 160 hours per month given 25 work days in a month.
Q: Is it safe to assume that multiple companies are bidding on this contract?
A: Correct, this requirement is being competed.
Q: Is the August 19th date a hard deadline?
A: August 19th is the deadline for now unless an amendment will be needed and will be posted in
SAM.
Q: The Price/Cost Schedule (b.2) states that 1 Senior IH is needed for 12 months, but
“Specific Tasks” on page 26 lists at least 3 roles (CIH, IH/OSHA person, and a Database manager).
a. Can the VA clarify the headcount expected to be filled, the term for each, and the working hours per week during the term?
A: The need is for one senior Industrial Hygienist for 12 months. The senior Industrial
Hygienist will meet the requirement for either a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Industrial
Hygienist as listed in the SOW. The senior Industrial Hygienist must also meet the requirements listed in the third paragraph under section 4.A which detail database management. “Database manager” is not once listed in the SOW.
Q: Page 27 lists several locations of performance, but the pricing schedule just lists a monthly rate. Not knowing the travel expectation, how does the VA prefer expenses to be accounted for (as incurred, in a burdened rate, or otherwise)?
A: A round trip drive from the primary POP location to any of the secondary POP locations is not to exceed an eight hour shift. If a trip to the secondary locations is needed a Government owned vehicle will be provided. No additional travel is expected.
NOTE: Any questions not answered is due to it not having any relevancy to the current solicitation and or is public information in which a contractor may request a FOIA.
