Q: What was the previous awarded Solicitation Number, Date awarded and awarded value?

A: 36C25819C0006, Effective 10/01/2018, $552,723.00

Q: Can multiple bids be submitted in response to this solicitation?

A: Only one bid will be accepted from each contractor.

Q: How many hours is the current crew cleaning, and what is the number of cleaning personnel?

A: 8 hours a day, five days a week, Monday thru Friday. There will be one annual Saturday carpet cleaning.

Q: Is there a breakdown of bathroom fixtures, etc?

A: Mens & Women’s restrooms (six restrooms total). Showers (two of them). Kitchen. Sample Receipt room. Sample Storage room. Dry Chem Incubator room. Gowning Staging Area.

Encapsulation/Blending room. Production/Storage Processing Suite. Automated Bottle Packaging room. Equipment/Washer Storage room. Tablet/Capsule Room. Automated Blister card room. Processing Suite (three rooms/fixtures/faucets/sinks). TOTAL fixtures/faucets/sinks = 21.

Q: Are there any floor maps available?

A: Yes, please find the attached.

Q: Is there a square foot breakdown of flooring by type?

A: Please let me know if the attached isn’t helpful.

Q: Will CSPCRPCC provide cleaning equipment and the listed approved cleaners?

A: The CRPCC facility will provide all cleaning supplies and paper goods to include but not limited to paper towels, toilet tissue, liquid soap, trash can liners, air fresheners, cleaning agents, sanitizer, wax, strippers etc. (soaps, mops, brooms, specialized clean room brushes, clean room mop heads, and wiper heads etc.) necessary to perform these services.

Q: What level of background test is required for cleaning staff? Is drug screening required, at what interval(s), and what type of drug screening?

A: Contractor and employees shall have background checks completed prior to working in the facility. The contractor is responsible for paying for background investigations (BI) of potential employee personnel on this contract. The COR will be responsible for assisting contractor in obtaining BI checks. All contractor BI checks will be performed by VA Security and Investigation Center (SIC).

Q: Is the cleaning staff required to be onsite during all operating hours (7am to 6pm)?

A: Only during those hours.

Q: What are the expectations for emergency cleaning requests that may arise outside hours the cleaning crew are onsite?

A: NONE (just annual Saturday carpet cleaning)

Q: Are day porters required to be available onsite for a set of core hours?

A: Expected cleaning hours are 8 hours a day, five days a week, Monday thru Friday.

Q: Please provide the total square footage for areas required for strip and wax.

A: Approximately 17,000 sq ft.

Q: Will equipment such as janitorial carts and vacuums be provided?

A: Yes.

Q: Will the VA Information Security Awareness Training and VHA Privacy Policy Training be provided by the CSPCRPCC?

A: This will be online through VA software platform Talent Management System or signed printout for credit during the orientation/introduction/first week.

Q: Will CSPCRPCC provide their expectations and protocols for janitorial staff working in the clean rooms?

A: Yes

Q: Are there Covid testing requirements of the cleaning staff? Any Covid vaccination requirements?

A: None. Based on 1193 Directive. Vendor requirements.

Q: How many dispensers are in the facility for hand soap, sanitizer, paper towels that require restocking?

A: Approximately 25
