About this file
This document is an amendment to a solicitation for medical gas management services at Department of Veterans Affairs facilities. The solicitation seeks a contractor to provide cylinder management services, which includes pickup, delivery, inspection, monitoring, and restocking of medical gases such as oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and nitrous oxide throughout the main hospital and community-based outpatient clinics. The amendment changes the response deadline from November 10, 2023 to November 15, 2023 at 1500 Mountain Time. It also answers questions from potential offerors, clarifying that services are only for cylinder management and not bulk gases, manifold and storage locations are not externally accessible, rounds are required to monitor cylinder levels, work will occur during regular business hours with emergency response within four hours, the contractor will order directly from gas suppliers using provided forms, maintenance and repairs are included, and security clearance but not medical gas licenses are needed for contractor personnel.
