This is to provide answers to Offeror’s questions.
The submission deadline remains the same. There are no amendment to this solicitation.
| • | B.3 Cost Schedule lines 0001 and 0002 state “any size up to 5x5 meters”. Please provide more detail as far as far as quantities and sizes of XY tracks |
| o | The facility is requesting for XY track system that best fits and offers maximum coverage in each room listed in D.1 TABLE A. Opportunity to review each room for needs/size was offered to Offerors during Site Visit. Each room may require different sizing based on layout/needs. It is noted at top of B.3 Price cost schedule that *** Estimated quantities require final hard count by the offeror. |
| • | Please provide more clarity on line item 0006. What does “service only” mean? How does this installation line differ from item 0007? How was quantity 429 calculated? |
| o | 429 is an estimated number of connection points of tracks to ceiling for all installed ceilings lifts. Offeror is required to update final count per their installation method. |
| o | ‘Service only’ refers to the installation price for installation that does not involve General Construction. Line Item 0006 refers the installation price of the number of lifts the contractor be able to install without performing General Construction. Line Item 0007 refers the installation price of the number of lifts the contractor be able to install performing General Construction. |
| • | Please provide more clarity on line item 0007. What specific tasks, labor, materials, design, coordination, and implementation does “general construction requirements” entail? How does this installation line differ from 0006? |
| o | This solicitation is seeking Offerors that are capable to independently distinguish installation that require General construction labor vs installation that do not require General Construction labor. |
| o | After completing walk-through, 0006 refers the installation price of the number of lifts the contractor be able to complete as equipment installation only and 0007 refers to the installation price of the number of lifts that will require construction CO Please VERIFY |
| • | Why is line item 0007 listed as optional? What does “Additive 1” mean? |
| o | As stated in Addendum to FAR 52.212-1, Offerors shall complete and submit the Price Schedule of this solicitation by indicating the installation of Patient Lifts that require General Construction as Optional Line Items. The Government may or may not exercise the option to purchase these Optional Line Items at the time of award at the same price/rate as the Optional Line Items indicated in the Offerors submission/Price Schedule. |
| o | “Additive” in line item 0007 means line item 0007 is characterized by “Installation with General Construction, as in addition to “Installation only.” |
| • | Please provide architectural plans for these areas. RCP, floor, structural |
| o | Cannot be provided. The Government does not have architectural plans. The Facility is seeking sources that can perform their own field verifications. The Statement of Work states under General Requirements that “7. Contractor will provide evaluation of existing structure to assure that workable systems are installed and comply with relevant standards. |
| • | The SOW states “Training shall include each new type of equipment and sling used in an area”. Are slings to be included in our proposal? If so please advise style, size, and quantity |
| o | Slings are not required in addition to what is requested by the Price Schedule. |
| • | What are the specialty areas and how many lifts relate to those areas. |
| o | 1 – Inpatient Therapy |
| • | Please clarify difference between patient lift installation and installation of patient lifts that involves General Construction. |
| o | This is referenced above. |
| • | Please clarify lift characteristics with weight capacity for Bariatric Patient Care Areas |
| o | In addition to general lift requirements, bariatric lift shall be capable of lifting at minimum 800 lbs. on a single motor. |
