SOLICITATION 36C26223Q0628

Department of Veterans Affairs Phoenix VA Healthcare System Inst Repair and Preventative Maintenance

Question 4: Since it is impossible to know how many new instruments will need to be provided at each service, it would be difficult to factor a cost into the monthly service rate, Therefore, will the cost for these new instruments be paid through a separate purchase order outside of the maintenance and repair fee?

Answer: No, the cost should be covered by the contract.

Question 5: If it is the expectation that the cost be factored into the overall rate, what was the number of general stainless instruments replaced with new over the past 12 months.

Answer: We replace almost all of our instrumentation last year.

Question 6: Do we have a timeframe in order to provide these new instruments?

Answer: Last replaced 12/1/2022 though present. We are always buying new or replacement instrumentation. Rough estimate of instrumentation $18,795.00 Question 7: Is there an expectation of a number of trays/sets to be serviced at each visit?

Answer: No, it will vary each visit.

Question 8: Will there be any serialized device repairs needed such as power handpieces, drills, saws, video equipment, rigid or flexible scopes?

Answer: No, those go to the Biomedical department or to another vendor.
