36C26220R0023 GE Anesthesia Cart PMI Service Question and Answer

Question 1: Will the VA purchase parts from the OEM directly or from the contractor, meaning the contractor will still need to procure parts.

- The Contractor shall procure all replacement parts.

Question 2: Does the VA want the Contractor to provide an hourly repair labor rate along with some high and low pricing for average parts?

- The Contractor shall provide their best estimate on how much it would cost for a maintenance repair. Historically, the equipment were serviced two (2) times in the last 12 months outside of the scheduled PMI services. The Contractor shall submit pricing however they see fit.

Question 3: Should repair labor be included in the contracted PM coverage?

- Corrective maintenance pricing should be separate from the scheduled PMI coverage.

Question 4: The statement of work (SOW) calls for two (2) PM’s per for each anesthesia machine, however, OEM recommendations only require one (1) PM annually for the models. Is this something that the customer understands and insists on more frequent PMs or could it be a mistake.

- The Aestiva MRI unit shall have two (2) PMs per year. All other equipment can have one (1) PM per year per OEM recommendation.
