NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE

Project Title: VA merit review award Mucin signatures and molecular imaging

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 22, Network Contracting Office hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract for Research Lab Services with the University of Nebraska Medical Center to manufacture and provide anti-mucin antibodies for medical research for GI cancers. The period of performance for this effort will be for one base year and 1-one-year option period.

Participating Healthcare Facility:

VA San Diego Healthcare System 3350 La Jolla Village Drive San Diego, CA 92161

This sole source contracting action is pursuing a waiver from acquiring these services on a competitive basis pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) for the aforementioned requirement based on the application of FAR 6.302- 3(a)(2)(ii). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the action proposed in this announcement.

Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive and would not hinder the mission or objective.

Responses are due on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 4:00 PM PDT to the attention of Imelda Martinez, Contracting Officer at Imelda.martinez@va.gov.
