Project No. 22015.2030 rev2 August 2015

BUILDING 205 – MHC (VACANT) BUILDING

Building No. 205 is the MHC (vacant) building and was built in 1937. The building has one floor and is 53,047 ft2 in size. The interior wall and ceiling finishes include a mix of drywall, plaster and concrete walls with drop-in ceiling panels, 12”x12” ceiling tiles, plaster and drywall hard lids. The interior flooring finishes include 12”x12” vinyl floor tiles, carpeting, terrazzo and concrete floors. The exterior is composed of a slab-on grade foundation with concrete and stucco walls and a terra cotta pitched roof. The HVAC system is comprised of a forced air system with three air handling units located along the exterior perimeter of the building.

Historical Data:

An asbestos survey was conducted by others. The data from this survey is listed below. The findings of this survey noted the following materials as being ACM:

Transite panels (at radiators);

TSI debris, Basement crawl space below pool (5 SF), Room 14 (5 SF), Room 14B (1 SF);

Duct insulation (aircell);

2” Pipe run insulation, Room 9 (1

LF);

2” Pipe joint insulation, Room 3” Pipe run insulation, Room 9, Southwest pipe basement (61 LF);

3” Pipe joint insulation, Room 9, Room 16, Southwest pipe basement (24 Each);

4” Pipe run insulation, Room 16

(20 LF);

5” Pipe run insulation, Room 17 (2

LF);

Plaster composite, Hall by room

207 (770 SF);

12”x12” White w/ brown RFT & mastic, Room 5, Room 120 (7,340 SF);

12”x12” Yellow RFT & mastic, Room

8A (1,815 SF);

12”x12” White w/ beige streaks RFT & mastic, Room 16, Room 223, Room

214 (7,700 SF);

12”x12” Multicolor, black, brown spots RFT & mastic, Stairwell basement, Room 214, Room 218

(9,855 SF);

12”x12” Beige w/ copper streaks RFT & mastic, Hall by room 207 (5,200 SF);

and 12”x12” Gray w/ white & tan streaks RFT & mastic, Room 218 (5,200 SF).

Project No. 22015.2030 279 rev2 August 2015

Historical Data on LBP –

Beige plaster walls in rooms 132, 211 & 212 (800 SF) (4.1-7.6 mg/cm2) (Intact);

White plaster walls in rooms 2-10 (75 SF) (3.5 mg/cm2) (Poor);

Brown plaster walls in rooms 2-11 (525 SF) (4.9-6.3 mg/cm2) (Intact to poor);

White plaster window sills in room 127 (48 SF) (1.7-1.8 mg/cm2) (Poor); and Green Ceramic Tile Wall located in Room 129, (250 SF) (6.8 mg/cm2) (Poor).

The following materials were removed from the building:

No abatement/removal records available.

Millennium’s Data:

ACM was detected in the resilient sheet flooring. Millennium discovered lead-based paint in the plaster and ceramic wall tiles and concrete window sills.

The details of location, condition, color, substrate analytical results are provided in the appendix of this report.

Prior to making inferences and interpretations of these data, please refer to the Limitations section of this report.

The total ACM/Lead removal costs for building 205 are $496,550. The total asbestos removal cost is $468,800 and lead-based paint removal costs for building 205 are $27,750. Please refer to Tables 1-3 included herein.
