About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a Sources Sought Notice issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) San Francisco Health Care System and South Santa Rosa VA Clinic to identify qualified dental laboratory service providers. The VA seeks full-service dental laboratory support for fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics, including fabrication, repair, relines, custom shading, implant prostheses, and digital dentistry workflows incorporating photogrammetry technology.
Prospective vendors must meet strict minimum essential requirements: demonstrate capability to provide complete and partial dentures (conventional and digital), fixed prosthodontics (PFM, zirconia, lithium disilicate, metal-based restorations), implant-supported prostheses (abutments, overdentures, all-on-X), removable partial denture frameworks, diagnostic wax-ups, occlusal guards, and digital scan integration services. The laboratory must be located within 60 miles of both VA facilities to support same-day repairs, in-person custom shade matching, lab support during complex implant procedures, and resident education visits. All work must be performed in-house within the continental United States with no subcontracting, transshipment, or outsourcing to other laboratories. Additionally, vendors must provide daily, non-subcontracted courier pickup and delivery service between both VA facilities with same-day pickup capabilities for orders.
