About this file

This is a Special Notice announcing the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) intent to sole source a service contract to Teleflex LLC. The VA's Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO21), located in North Las Vegas, Nevada, intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair services of AC3 Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps at VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System. The contract will consist of a base period plus four option years, with performance running from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2031. The government plans to award the contract on June 15, 2026 to Teleflex LLC, located at 3015 Carrington Mill Boulevard, Morrisville, North Carolina 27560.

The justification for sole sourcing is that Teleflex technicians are OEM-certified and the only individuals authorized to install and maintain the equipment, with the manufacturer providing warranty coverage only for work performed by these certified technicians. Interested firms believing they can meet the requirement and possess an authorized letter to perform services on the equipment may submit their interest and capability to Contracting Officer John D. Waldrip III at john.waldrip@va.gov within five calendar days of publication (by May 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time). Respondents must identify their business size status (large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a), or woman-owned) and ownership status (U.S. or foreign-owned). The Product Service Code is J065 (Maintenance, Repair and Alteration of Medical Equipment), and the NAICS Code is 811210. No payment will be made for information submitted, and this notice does not constitute a formal solicitation or obligation to award.
