STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

Insightec- Neuro System Dated: February 24, 2026

1. Background

Currently, Veterans requiring incisionless neurosurgical interventions often face limited access to advanced MR-guided focused ultrasound therapy within the VA system. This technology offers a non-invasive alternative to traditional open or minimally invasive neurosurgery, with the potential to improve patient outcomes, reduce complications, and shorten recovery times. Without approval and integration of the Neuro System, the VA may be forced to continue relying on outside facilities, which could lead to increased costs, fragmented care, and a missed opportunity to provide Veterans with state-of-the-art, in-house treatment options for conditions such as essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease.

2. Goals and Objectives

The implementation of the Neuro System aims to establish in-house capabilities for incisionless neurosurgical treatments at VAPAHCS. This initiative will enhance clinical care by providing Veterans with access to state-of-the-art, minimally invasive therapy options.
