About this file

This document is an email chain discussing Amendment 0001 for Solicitation 36C26125Q0689 for Police lockers at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. The amendment extends the solicitation due date from 16 July 2025 to 14 August 2025 and the questions/RFI period to 07 August 2025. The procurement involves removing 24 existing lockers and installing new lockers, with market research revealing at least two Veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSBs) are capable of performing the work.

Key details include site-specific requirements such as obtaining floor plans, verifying loading dock and forklift availability, and confirming the work will be performed on the first level of the building. The contract specialist, Janetra Johnson from Network Contracting Office (NCO 21), is coordinating the solicitation and seeking clarification on various technical aspects of the locker replacement project. The procurement is being conducted through SAMs Contracting Opportunities and follows VA's commitment to supporting veteran-owned businesses under 38 U.S.C. 8127.

Good morning, Market research (MR) is a long and collaborative process. When the requirement was submitted, it appeared that only one quote could be received. However, by the end of completing the MR report, it was revealed that at least “two or more VetCert-listed SDVOSBs or VOSBs are capable of performing the work and likely to submit an offer/quote at a fair and reasonable price that offers best value to the Government.” Based on the RIFs received so far, there is more than two SDVOSB vendors capable of meeting the requirements.

Please send the documents and information by Thursday, 7/17. In the interim, amendment 001 will be issued to extend the RFI/ Question time period to 8/7 and the solicitation end date to 8/14.

Good afternoon, Was this contract pushed as a sole source? My understanding as it should have been, because we could not get more than 1 quote as other companies would not compete with the company we did receive a quote from. I don’t think we would be getting these questions if it was. We will not have this completed by Friday, as I will be out of the office tomorrow and Sonya does not return until Monday of next week. We will try to respond with this information as quickly as possible. If something in the SOW is making this more difficult, please advise. I mailto:Janetra.Johnson@va.gov mailto:Travis.Payne@va.gov mailto:Sonya.Draper@va.gov mailto:Michael.Jones25@va.gov mailto:Edward.Hunter@va.gov https://www.va.gov/oal/business/pps/faqsVfcp05.asp mailto:Janetra.johnson@va.gov feel clarity can be provided on site visits.
