RFI Questions, Solicitation # 36C26124Q0933:

1. What size PTAC is required? Would a wall mounted or window AC units be acceptable?

The Government’s Response: The climate-controlled container will include a 230/208V 20A PTAC unit – 15k BTU with 3KW electric heat 42”W x 16”H x 14”D, including 20A/220V outlet and remote programmable thermostat, mounted to 2” x 2” welded tube steel frame on the west wall as shown.

2. For the anti-skid exterior paint, does the government want a two part epoxy? Like a marine epoxy? An Anti Skid epoxy on the outside of the container seems pointless: it's applying grit so that someone won't slip but you don't need that on the outside of a container.

The Government’s Response: The climate-controlled container interior will include an oil-based grey epoxy coating suitable for 320 sf of wood flooring with anti-skid grit additive for epoxy floor coating.

The exterior will include an exterior paint color: tan with expected service life of five (5) years in normal operating conditions.

Per Salient Characteristics requirement: Painted exterior walls and roof with Tan color, Painted interior walls and ceiling with White color, and Wood floor with epoxy paint and anti-skid.
