| Questions | Answers |
| Q: Do we need to integrate costs for the move to a temporary location and back? | A: Yes, this is mentioned in the Statement of Work, Section Three - Installation/Site Preperation. |
| Q: Can we get the CAD drawing for the temporary space. | A. Yes, please see attached |
| Q: When is the move to the tempary space? | A: So far we have been told CY 2026. |
| Q: Will the current analyzers go away? | A: I did not understand the question so she refrased it to say will the current analyzers be prensent when the new analyzers are put in. The answer is yes, until the new ones are fully validated and signed off. |
| Q: Will there be a temporary location to bring the new analyzers in to validate? | A: I was not sure, we do not have that as a plan at this time and it depends on the analyzers that will be put in with the new contract. |
| Q: Were any existing staff present when the current analyzers were installed and how was that accomplishedt? | A: Yes, we moved the current analyzers to a different location in the lab and installed the new ones in their permenant positions. |
| Q: Middleware to be used for rule building? | A: The plan is that we will build the rules and autovalidation into Data Innovations not the vendor middleware. We use the vendor middleware for the function of the analyzer and track system. |
| Q: How is Remisol being used now? As a pass through? | A: Pass through only. |
| Q: Is QC automatically uploading? | A: Yes, BD. (I found out after they left that they never set it up but they do want it that way - lask of support with computer since we had other priorities for the Laboratory Information Manager/LIM.) |
| Q: Do we want the servers to be virtual or physical servers. | A: We prefer virtual servers. |
| Q: Will out hematology analyzers/Sysmex be attached to the track system? | A: No, the system is not the system by Sysmex that can be attached to a track system. |
| Q: What is the name of the vendor taking care of the water systems attached to the chemistry analyzers. | A: Evoqua Water Technologies. |
| Q: Did we want storage on the track? | A: Yes |
| Q: Where does that door go (from site visit)? | A: Histology and they asked if they needed to provide access, I answered that yes that needs to be accessible. |
| Q: Can the pole be removed (pole with utilities) | A: The drain can be moved but the pole may be acting as a vent/airflow and may not be removed. |
| Q: Can refrigerators be moved? | A: Yes |
| Q: Do we have Autovalidation set up | A: Not yet, but we plan to set it up. |
| Q: Are cabinets modular or fixed? | A: They are modular, not fixed. |
| Q: Do we have dedicated LIS (Laboratory Information System) support? | A: Yes, we have one Laboratory Information Manager/LIM and another one starting soon. |
| Q: Is the pneumatic tube system new? | A: Yes. |
| Q: Any planned upgrades to the LIS? | A: Yes, Cerner but we are not on the schedule yet. |
| Q: Any growth? | A: We did take over Modesto, Sonora and Stockton and the workload will be going to the Stockton laboratory. |
| Q: Do we want to be able to load all the laboratory tests into the track, not just chemistry. | A. We prefer to have the ability |
| Q: Could we switch to a new QC vendor and can we get a list of what QC you are using currently so they know how to meet out requirements. | A: We are open to using other control vendors. Vendor QC must meet requirements in SOW. |
| Q: Does VHA need bracketing (tieing down of analyzers due to earthquate shaking danger)? | A. VHA does require bracing for items 4 feet or taller such as shelving, medical equipment, or storage units, the VHA would require these items to be properly braced or anchored to prevent tipping during an earthquake. |
| Q: Is it the same space and no changes? | A. Correct, no changes |
| Q: When is the plan to move to the temproary space? | A: Last we were told CY 2026. |
| Q: Is the water system owned by Mather? | A: No, by the current vendor. |
| Q: What vendor is maintaing them? | A: Evoqua Water Technologies. |
| Q: The venodor rep asked about Stockton. | A: Stockton will have a lab and will take over the workload for Modesto, Sonora and Stockton from Mather. |
| Q: What is the internal door width at Mather for the purpose of bringing equipment in? | A. Both doors from the Lab to the main hallway are 40.5” |
The rear door is 34.5” SO2+36C26124Q0782: page 19, section 3. Installation/Site Preparation.
Clarifications requested: Point 1, c Mather Laboratory states:
i. Mather will be renovated during the life of this contract.
ii. The contractor will be required to move equipment to a temporary location, and then to a final location.
iii. Revalidation is required at each movement.
Clarifications requested: We request details on the point i., ii., and iii. Please provide additional details on the expected location of this new laboratory. Also, if available, please provide any details (CAD, diagram, etc.) that depicts the new space and temporary location to assist the vendor with an understanding of the scale of this future move.
Clarifications requested: We ask for a proposed timeline to be defined for these moves.
Clarifications requested: We ask if vendor provided water and ancillary items are to be included in these moves. Provided CAD drawing of new space. Currently planned for the parking lot behind cafeteria adjacent to building 649 and 647. Currently projected for Calendar year 2026. Subject to changes.
Clarification:
Yes. Vendor should provide water and ancillary items are to be included in these moves.
