GSI Tympstar Pro Middle Ear Analyzer (Part # GSI-8530312) OR EQUAL

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS

1. General It is a tympanometry machine to test and to measure the middle ear’s mobility when changes in air pressure occur. Recorded on a graph called tympanogram, the results of tympanometry tests offer information about air pressure in the middle ear. Middle ear tympanometry helps audiologists diagnose hearing loss and recommend a solution such as hearing aid.

2. Warranty Requirements

a. Manufacturer must offer a 1 year warranty that product is free from defects in materials and workmanship. All defects will be replaced or repaired by the manufacturer at no cost to the buyer.

3. Distinct Features

l. Integrated 12 inch color touch screen.

m. Auto start with seal for screening and diagnostic tympanograms.

n. New testing options:

a. Muti-Frequency Test:

i. Provides audiologists the tools needed to confidently identify resonance frequency of the middle ear system. Multi-frequency test offers efficiency and accuracy needed to assess pathologies in the middle ear system.

b. Patulous ET Identification:

i. Has a dedicated test type to identify a patulous Eustachian tube. The capability to store measurements from four test conditions and an adjustable time base.

d. Familiar ergonomic design.

i. Viewing tympanometry, reflex, and Eustachian tube function results assist the clinician with explaining the middle ear evaluation.

j. Has reflex threshold testing with artifact-free tracings.

k. Eliminates the “null” point that cancels out the reflex with multiplex pulsed tone stimulation for ipsilateral reflex recordings.

l. The tympanometry can function both: screening and diagnostics.

m. User defined auto sequence testing by performing tympanometry, reflex threshold, and reflex decay testing with a single button press.

n. Define patient or user specific test protocols that will adjust settings for immediate testing.
