QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. QUESTION: Can the government clarify the type of curtains and/or service is required under 5.1
General Requirements number 9. Install loading dock curtains in pedestrian walkways to allow passage and prevent birds?
ANSWER: Transparent industrial strip curtains or other common loading dock curtains to prevent passage of birds.
2. QUESTION: The government requires under “5.1 General Requirements number 4 Exclusion –
Repair, replace, and seal existing bird netting. Install new netting where needed.”
Installation of new bird netting is usually bid by square foot of covered area standardly with the pest control industry. Can the government help understand how contractors can provide a bid to include "Install new netting where needed" without knowing the area to be netted or the fact that there may be no areas requiring this service during the entire contract period? It appears a better option for the government to receive a fair and reasonable bid would be to have a line item for Installation of Bird Netting per square foot.
ANSWER: Estimated to be up to 100 sq ft per year.

ANSWER: The attachment for site visit information.
