QA RFI RESPONSE 1

1. The Base year starting on page 4 is listed as 2020, then skips to Option Year are 1 in 2022 on page 10.

VA response – The dates for the base year should be “March 1, 2021 – February 28, 2022”.

2. On page 36 in item #6 the RFQ states the following “The contractor shall furnish parts necessary for calibration at no cost to the customer”. There are no parts needed to supply the customer for us to perform calibration. If during calibration we find a part that is broken on a device, then we quote that part for repair. We treat repairs totally different from calibration. Can I assume that this is still the case, or are you expecting us to pay for those parts for repair? If so, that does complicate pricing and we need to reevaluate numbers to factor in potential repairs.

VA response ‐ If a part is broken on a device that needs calibration, please bring this to our attention in order to have this repaired before calibration may be performed. You may provide a quote to us for the repair/parts/labor.

Please do not perform any repair before a PO is received for the labor/part.

Since this is a service contract for calibration which is preventative maintenance and NOT corrective maintenance, cost and labor for repairs will be out of scope for this requirement.

However, if in special circumstances where parts or disposables (Eg. Test/calibration equipment, PM kits) may be required in the calibration for the equipment, this will be the responsibility of the vendor/Contractor to provide/supply.
