Project: Palo Alto Division ‐ Overbed Tables for MSICU & IICU (B100)
1. GENERAL
VA Palo Alto Healthcare System, (VAPAHCS) is expecting to remodel and expand over 2 Million square feet and decommissioning 1 Million square feet of facilities over the next 10 years. Nearly all current facilities will be impacted, requiring frequent and spontaneous decommissioning, reconfiguration, and installation of both new and existing furnishings to support the facilities daily operating demands. The existing overbed tables in the inpatient rooms are well old, worn, broken, dirty; unable to be cleaned, and need to be replaced.
2. STATEMENT OF LINE REQUIREMENTS

4. CONSTRUCTION AND FINISHING REQUIREMENTS
a. Powder coat applied to steel for extreme durability and consistency
b. Overbed table ships with base, column, and top unattached.

5. ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
a. Commitment to responsible management, use and disposal of chemicals used in the manufacture of the products.
b. Promote trade‐in programs where many of the products can be refurbished and returned to the market or the materials may be recycled to reclaim metals and plastics. Need to pursue environmentally sound facilities management practices.
6. WARRANTY INFORMATION
a. Products and replacement parts shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a minimum period of one (1) year from date of delivery. Any signs of defect, manufacturer will supply replacement parts or replace product entirely.
b. Product must withstand the 24/7 usage of typical healthcare clinical spaces.
c. Frame and welds on the products must be free from structural defects for the life of the product.
