Questions and Answers (Q&A) for Solicitation #36C26118Q0606 San Francisco Valet Parking

1. Will the VA provide the operator with storage areas for operating supplies (Uniforms, Traffic cones, Go-Jacks, etc.)? If so, provide the storage size, storage detail and location.
Storage area is 6’ x 6’ x 6’ for cones and supply. Parking structure B212 lower level
2. Would the VA provide a shed with electric power for lighting, radios, computer, A/C, etc.? If not see question #1.

3. Can the operator provide a shed/office (if the VA will not accommodate this) for the onsite manager office and storage? If so where can we place the shed as well as please detail the size and area it will be located. This will be located on a pre-approved area.

4. If a shed is not provided or allowed, is there an area were the site manager can use? Can you provide details on this?

5. How many patients appoints per day? What are the busiest days?
300-350 Veteran-patients are seen per day / Mondays & Wednesdays
6. What is the policy when the valet parking is full?
The contractor places signage that the lot is full / If full at B212 direct vehicles to parking structure B209
7. How often does campus parking lots fill per day?
Two to Four times a month for both parking structures, B 209 & B212
8. What days do the clinics see patients?
Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays
9. Is the valet required to stack park the vehicles or park them in the drive aisles?
Yes, park in drive aisles
10. If we are required to stack park in the aisles approximately how many cars in each aisle and how many aisles and total amount of cars.
8 to 11 vehicles per aisle(s) per level from 1 through 4 in B209 & 10 to 15 vehicles on lower level

49. The RFP states there are orientations that we must attend, what is the orientation time for that, so we can budget the payroll amounts?

50. Sections 1.1, 1.2, & 1.3 of the solicitation references parking and providing assistance in parking. Can you provide the number of daily cars valet parked and the number of cars where only assistance in parking was provided?

Vehicles are valeted upon request of the driver or until all spaces are full.

That is a separate parking structure
54. Section 3.6 mentions valet for handicapped parkers. Do we need an additional valet station that is manned or do we park the cars with the staff providing services for the rest of the garage?
All vehicles pass through or by the contracted valets in B209/B212 parking structures; the staff on-hand shall provide the services
55.Can you provide the number of daily cars valet parked and the number of cars where only assistance in parking was provided?
